LYC Setting Sail for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

LYC is proud to announce that it will be hosting the Leukemia Cup Regatta on September 10 and 11. This regatta is a wonderful way for sailors to compete in the sport they love, while raising money for people who are suffering from blood cancers.
LYC is aiming for the Leukemia Cup to be one of the largest regattas on the Sound in 2011, and the event will be open to all IRC, PHRF, keelboat one-designs, Vanguard 15s, Lasers, Laser Radials, 420s and Optimists. Participants (skippers and crews, age 8 to 80) are encouraged to raise funds for this cause to sponsor their boat for the weekend. In addition, LYC is looking for volunteers to help organize various on-shore activities.
