Junior Race Week

On a Tuesday during Race Week in 1926, the first Junior Day was held, replacing Ladies Day, making this the 93rd Junior Race Week.

Sunday, July 14 Due to Senior Race Week Activity – NO BOATS WILL BE ACCOMMODATED BEFORE participant check-in, arrival and launching of boats – Instructors and accompanying adults MUST BE present to assist launching and mooring of boats 1700 – 1900
Monday, July 15 Launch service starts 0700
Participant check-in, arrival and launching of boats 0800 – 0945
  Pack your lunch buffet at the Pandemonium 0900 – 1015
  Skippers meeting, followed by Instructor/Coach meeting 1015
  Harbor Start 1130
  First Warning 1230
  Following Racing – Complimentary  Pizza Dinner

All JSA clubs must submit entries and fees via the JSA Online Regatta Registration system.

Note:

  • LYC will provide lunches. However, your instructors must have coolers to store them on the water.

  • Water stations are available at the head of all docks and multiple areas around the club grounds. Please make sure your sailors have refillable water bottles and instructors carry extra water.

  • Reminder, all coach boats must have an anchor with sufficient ground tackle as moorings will not be available. No boats may tie up to the docks overnight.

  • All instructors must have working VHF radios and monitor the appropriate channels while on the water.

  • No cash will be accepted at the beach grill. Debit cards will be available for purchase during registration and at the front desk. Cards may be purchased in increments of $20.00.
