Ernie has over 26 years of experience serving in leadership roles across a series of world-class club and hospitality operations. Most recently, Ernie served as Westchester Country Club's Director of Club Operations where he was responsible for the management of operations across the Club's Main Clubhouse and Beach facilities in Rye. Prior to Westchester, Ernie held roles as the General Manager of Balboa Yacht Club in Corona Del Mar, and as the Beach Club Manager and Director of Operations at the Jonathan Club in Santa Monica. Ernie brings a breadth and depth of leadership capability to LYC, and is known to lead with a consistent, member-focused, on-campus presence, so plan on seeing him around the Club.

Rodrigo Amaral

Brazilian native Rodrigo Amaral has been appointed LYC Director of Racquet Sports. Rodrigo's tennis career includes a #1 ranking in Brazil and a competitive tennis career in Portugal. He has served for many years as the Head Pro at Larchmont Shore Club and Director of Platform Tennis at Apawamis Club in Rye. Rodrigo also teaches at Rye Racquet Club, and has worked at Belle Meade Country Club in Nashville and Belmont University.

Katty Borges comes to the Larchmont Yacht Club with over 20 years of experience in Housekeeping. Katty previously worked at the Union League Club and, most recently, at the Westchester Country Club. Katty attended Mercy College where she studied Business Administration; she also has a Security Officer Certificate and is a seasoned Bartender.

Michel has over 25 years of experience working with renowned restaurant groups in Paris, Los Angeles, and New York City. After determining early in his professional career that he enjoyed hospitality over finance, Michel’s first F&B job was at the River Café in New York City. Over the next twenty years Michel worked in several leadership roles with some world-renowned restaurant groups like The Millennium Restaurant Group, Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, Auberge Resorts, and Farmshop. Michel comes to us most recently from the Bastion Collection Restaurant Group in New York City.
Dominick Galimi
Swimming & Diving Program Director and Head Coach

Dominick is entering his 30th season at LYC, where he coaches the competitive sport of Swimming in a fun atmosphere. It is his belief that swimming is a life skill that everyone should learn, as well as a sport that provides an opportunity for personal growth and builds lifetime friendships. For over 20 years, during the winter, he has coached for the Badger Swim club in Larchmont and has been the head coach for the Bronxville High School Girls and Fordham Prep Boys varsity swimming teams. In the spring of 2017 he was inducted into the Catholic High School Athletic Hall of Fame. When he is not on the pool deck, he is not too far in the stands watching his daughter compete as a swimmer herself.

Scott joined the LYC team in 2015 and has been the Camp Seagull Director since 2018. When Scott is not running Camp Seagull he is a physical education teacher for the Mamaroneck School District and has taught at Mamaroneck Avenue School, Chatsworth, Central and Hommocks. Scott is also the Varsity Wrestling Coach for Mamaroneck and runs Larchmont-Mamaroneck Youth Wrestling. Scott has been involved with Summer camps since he was 4 years old and considers camp to be a critical aspect of every child's social and emotional development. 
Sheila Halligan

Sheila is a career educator who is currently in the Yonkers Public Schools. With advanced degrees in education, Sheila has a passion for teaching children, which also extends to the water. A Water Safety Instructor (WSI) since the age of 18, Sheila has taught countless children to swim and to love the water. Most recently, Sheila was the Head Instructor at Manursing Island Club in Rye. During the winter, Sheila also works with the Learn to Swim Program at Empire Swimming.
Tara Jackson

Tara has two decades of expertise working with entrepreneurs and in the hospitality industry, specializing in startups, fine dining establishments, and boutique hotels on the East and West coasts. She is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and a member of the Court of Master Sommeliers. Tara holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from the University of Maryland. She is a seasoned Human Resources Strategist, and her true passion lies in nurturing talent and creating positive working cultures. She has advanced her skills at organizations such as Jean-Georges Management and Strategic Human Capital Management, a private HR consulting group. She is a SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) with a certificate in Human Capital Management from the NYU School of Professional Studies and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certificate from the University of South Florida.  
Hansun Jo

After graduation from the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Chef Hansun spent four years at the Greenbrier Hotel in West Virginia. Over the next fourteen years he held culinary leadership roles at Abigail Kirsch in New York City, the Everglades Club in Palm Beach, The Union Club of Cleveland and Westchester Country Club. Chef Hansun has been fortunate to work alongside American Master Chefs like Arnaud Berthelier, Peter Timmins, Gerald Ford and Chris Northmore and credits them for his passion and dedication for the culinary arts.
Joel Labuzetta

Capt. Joel Labuzetta comes to LYC after eight years at Indian Harbor Yacht Club where he spent five years as the Waterfront Director and the last three years as the Assistant General Manager continuing to oversee waterfront operations. Before IHYC, Joel spent three years as the Sailing Director at Annapolis Yacht Club and before that, four years as the Junior Program Director at Severn Sailing Association in Annapolis. Joel’s professional qualifications include a USCG Merchant Mariner Limited Master License and US Sailing & US Powerboating Instructor Trainer certifications. Joel has also served on the US Sailing National Faculty and has been a long-time contributor at US Sailing National conferences. Joel attended the College of Charleston in South Carolina where he was a two-year Captain of the College of Charleston sailing team. Early in his career he was the Head Optimist Race Coach right here at LYC.

Manny has over 16 years of experience in the field of engineering, facility management and maintenance, and project management. He was working in New York City and the State of New Jersey as Project Manager for about eight years prior to joining the Hospitality Industry. Manny has a degree in Electrical Engineering, he is a certified pool and spa operator and he recently joined the International Facility Management Association (Westchester County-Hudson Valley Chapter and Club Council). Manny’s goal is to ensure that LYC is always functional, operations are efficient, and everyone is safe and comfortable.

Daisy has over two decades of experience in the private club industry. Her professional journey began at the Larchmont Shore Club, where she simultaneously pursued and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Iona College and then a Master's degree in Guidance & Counseling from the College of New Rochelle. Having a diverse skill set, Daisy transitioned seamlessly when she assumed the role of Communications Director at the Larchmont Yacht Club in 2014. Since then, Daisy has consistently demonstrated her invaluable commitment to the Club and its membership, establishing herself as a dependable and crucial asset to the team.

Doug joined the LYC team in 2019. He started sailing at age six and was teaching sailing at fifteen. Sailing has taken Doug around the world to Sydney Australia, where he taught sailing and worked as a rigger and a sailmaker. Doug was previously the Sailing Director at North Cove Sailing in Manhattan, and is excited to bring his diverse sailing experience to Larchmont Yacht Club.

Kerry has been the Controller at Larchmont Yacht Club since 2004. She started her career in accounting working in an auditing firm in NYC for seven years before joining the LYC team. She lives in Carmel with her husband, two sons and two dogs. In her spare time, you will usually find Kerry on the sideline, watching her kids play sports.

Jena Scalone is a highly accomplished professional in the world of hospitality, currently serving as the Director of Dining Services at LYC. With a rich and diverse background in the industry, Jena brings a wealth of knowledge and 20 years of experience to her role. She earned her Masters Degree in Communications from the College of New Rochelle.

Rebeca’s hospitality focus for the last seven years has been on developing all scale events and large catering functions. She spent three years as the Director of Special Events at Terrapin Crossroads, two years as the Director of Catering at Hotel Vitale, and most recently two years as the Director of Catering and Events at The Muttontown Club. Rebeca is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College.

Sally worked full time for three years at the Canoe Brook Country Club while pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management degree at Fairleigh Dickenson University. After graduation she spent three years at Sleepy Hollow Country Club first as the Assistant Dining Room Manager then she was quickly promoted to the Housekeeping and Guest Services Manager. Sally also spent two years at the Union League Club in New York City as the Director of Rooms and Guest Services followed by four years at Westchester Country Club as the Resident and Guest Services Manager.
